How does Hopi Ear Candling work?
You will lay fully clothed on your side, with your head supported on a pillow. The ear candle is then placed gently and painlessly into your ear. During the appointment, both ears will be treated.
The candle is a hollow tube, made of unbleached cotton which is coated with gorgeous natural elements such as honey, beeswax and herbs. The candles contain ingredients that soothe, calm, and relax and also anti-inflammatory.
Once placed in the ear the candle is lit and a light vacuum effect is created between the candle and ear. You may hear a crackling or popping sound whilst the candle is burning. The vapours from the herbs are infused and drawn into the ear canal creating a soothing, massaging effect whilst softening any impurities.
Following your ear candling treatment you will receive a wonderful and relaxing facial and lymphatic drainage massage. This further helps to release any blockages in your ears and sinuses. It also aids circulation and increases the flow of energy.
